Being a Caregiver is difficult under the best of circumstances, but when compounded by illness, isolation or depression it can be overwhelming.

Maintaining independence with no means of shopping for groceries or getting to medical appointments is almost impossible.

The Tender, Inc. can help by providing a place where Seniors and Caregivers can find what they need. From our Social Day Center in Moorestown to our volunteer based medical transportation for homebound elderly to respite and support for Caregivers, we are here to help you.

A Non-Profit Agency Since 1977

The Tender, Inc. began providing services in 1977 as The Tender, A Social Day Center for Older Adults. In 1998 an Alzheimer's Respite Program was added and in 2001, Interfaith Caregivers (founded in 1983) joined the Tender to become The Tender, Inc. .

Mission Statement

The Tender, Inc. a 501 c 3 charity since 1977, enriches the lives of frail seniors and persons with Alzheimer's disease by offering a variety of services including a day center and transportation to medical appointments and grocery shopping for homebound seniors. In addition The Tender provides respite, support, information and resources to caregivers.

The Tender, Inc. provides a safe, structured, home like setting where older adults find socialization and participate in:

Transportation

Thanks to the commitment of dedicated, pre screened volunteers, The Tender, Inc. is able to help vulnerable, homebound Seniors continue to live independently by providing transportation for medical appointments, shopping and errands.
